Russell E. Train Fellowships Overview
The Russell E. Train Fellowships help anybody who needs to study conservation and allied subjects for a master’s or doctoral degree.
Every year, WWF helps devoted scientists and leaders in conservation from the target countries get hold of funding for their work.
To pursue graduate-level studies (master’s and PhDs) focused toward research that fosters a better understanding of the place-based character of food system change;
EFN invitations proposals from the current and next era of academics and practitioners.

Russell E. Train Fellowships Scholarship Advantages
Funded Russell Applicants may apply for as much as two years of funding and request as much as $30,000 per year.
Russell E. Train Scholarship Eligibility
- You have to be a citizen and legal permanent resident of an eligible nation.
- You should have not less than two years of conservation-related work or research experience.
- You should have a demonstrated dedication to working in conservation in an eligible nation.
- You have to be enrolled in, admitted to, or have applied to a master’s or PhD program wherever in the world.
- You should plan to start your studies no later than January 2024.
- To determine eligibility, you should contact EFN if you’re a WWF employee, consultant, or previous EFN grant recipient.
- You could submit all required paperwork by the applying deadline (February 1, 2023).
