MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship, USA 2023

The MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship 2023 is now accepting applications.

An annual scholarship provided to female worldwide/DACA college students who’ve been accepted or are already enrolled full-time in a STEM degree program at a US university that MPOWER finances.

This scholarship initiative targets female college students who will be role models and champions for ladies in STEM and can use their STEM degrees to enhance society and the environment.

That is in line with MPOWER’s mission to enable high-potential global citizens to pursue their instructional goals and emerge as the top scientists and innovators of the longer term.

• Grand Prize: $6,000
• Runner-Up: $2,000
• Honorable Mention: $1,000

• Accepted at, or enrolled in, a full-time degree program at a U.S school that MPOWER supports, and
• An international student is allowed to study in the U.S, as applicable legally:
• Has a legitimate visa that permits study within the U.S.
• Is protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
• Is a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder)

Winners are chosen by MPOWER based on the following:

• The grade of the applicant’s essay writing; The essays should present solid English writing abilities, interesting goals, and clarity of thought;
• The applicant’s academic {and professional} distinction (where relevant);
• The potential of the candidate significantly advancing a STEM discipline that will benefit people or the environment; and
• The candidate’s prior accomplishments and skill to serve as an advocate and role model for girls and women
