NURSING SCHOOL IN NIGERIA REQUIREMENTS
GENERAL NURSING PROGRAMME
Candidates for admission should have the senior secondary school certificates or equivalent with 5 credits to include English language, health science, biology, physics, chemistry.
Training period is 3 years, diploma certificates for a Registered nurse. You have to be 17 years and above before you apply.
BACHELOR OF NURSING SCIENCE DEGREE PROGRAMME (B.SC)
5 credits in WAEC/SSCE, not more than 2 sittings. Subjects should include English language, chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, coaching is for 5 years.
HIGHER DEGREE IN NURSING
Obtainable in several universities providing a better degree. Qualification Master of Philosophy, Doctor of Philosophy.
POST BASIC PSYCHIATRIC NURSING PROGRAMME
Candidates applying have to be a registered nurse and should meet all essential requirements. There 8 schools of studying post basic psychiatric nursing, duration of training is one and half year.
POST BASIC MIDWIFERY PROGRAMME
Admission requires that the candidate have to be a Registered nurse and should also meet all necessary requirement. Duration of training is one year six months.
