What National Undergraduate Scholarship for Nigerian Students Sponsored by NNPC/SEPLAT
Seplat Petroleum Development Company (SEPLAT) is an independent oil and gas company in Nigeria that is listed on both the London and Nigerian stock markets. The Niger Delta area of Nigeria is the main strategic focus of the company. In June 2009, Shebah Petroleum Development Company Limited and Platform Petroleum Joint Ventures Limited joined forces to form SEPLAT. Its main goal was to actively look for upstream oil and gas opportunities in Nigeria, with a focus on taking advantage of divestment opportunities from the portfolios of big international oil companies (IOCs) that work in the area.
The NNPC/Seplat JV Scholarship gives first-year students at Nigerian universities up to N200,000.00 to help pay for their studies.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC) and Seplat Petroleum Distribution Company have teamed up to offer the NNPC/Seplat JV Scholarship. How to Get a Scholarship from NNPC/Seplat JV
For the NNPC/Seplat JV Scholarship, candidates need to:
- Must be in at least their second year of college.
- Have at least 5 O’ level credit passes in one time, including English and math.
- Have a GPA of at least 3.5
- Only people taking one of the approved classes should apply for the scholarship.
