About the Polytechnic
In 1992, the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, was founded. Then-Military President Ibrahim Babangida made a presidential proclamation for its establishment in the palace of His Royal Highness, Olofa of Offa, Oba Mustapha Olawoore Olanipekun Ariwajoye II, during a state visit in 1991. The school is pleased to have more than 5,000 children under its wing.
The polytechnic was founded in 1992 and provides undergraduate courses leading to the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma.
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Nigeria, has officially accredited and/or recognized Federal Polytechnic Offa in Kwara State.
The Federal Polytechnic Offa Kwara State is one of the Federal Polytechnics for which applicants wish to die. This has a plausible explanation. As with the Federal Polytechnic of Ede, the tuition is reasonable, the academic year is brief, and national recognition is perhaps most important.

What is Post UTME Score?
After every UTME exercise, the exam body sets a particular mark {e.g., 120}. This mark is a score a candidate must have or cross to qualify him or her to sit for the chosen school’s POST UTME exercise.
This said mark is announced to all schools to enable them to decide the number of candidates they will admit. After the school’s decision, they announce a particular mark that must not be lower than the mark the UTME body fixed.
Any candidate who crosses the mark set by the UTME body and does not reach the chosen school’s mark is NEVER eligible to sit for the school’s POST UTME.
This mark or score set by the school admission board is known as SCHOOL’S CUT-OFF MARK.
What is Aggregate Score ?
Aggregate scores are calculated by finding the sum of all those subjects whose marks have to be considered, and then dividing the sum by total marks. The final result is then multiplied with 100, which gives the aggregate percentage.

To correctly calculate your aggregate, know that the JAMB Examination is made up of 400 marks, whereas the Federal Polytechnic, Offa’s Post UTME is made of 100 marks.
Divide your JAMB score by 8,
Divide your Post UTME score by 2,

Prerequisites for Entrance to Federal Poly Offa
- A minimum 2022 UTME score of 140 is required for interested candidates.
- Applicants must have O’level scores that include English and mathematics and have a minimum score of 5 credits.
- Results from more than two O’level sittings are not permitted for candidates.
- Federal Poly Offa must be the first choice of institution for interested candidates.
- Before submitting an application for the 2022/2023 post-UTME form, candidates who have not yet posted their O’level results on the JAMB CAPS should do so.

Prerequisites for Federal Poly Offa HND Entrance.
The following are the entry requirements for all Higher National Diploma (HND) programs:
1. Candidates must hold a recognized/accredited polytechnic, monotechnic, or innovation enterprise institution’s National Diploma (ND), National Innovative Diploma (NID), or equivalent in the program of their choice at not a grade lower than LOWER CREDIT classification.
2. SSC or GCE O’level with no more than two (2) sittings and at least five (5) credit passes in pertinent subjects, including English and mathematics.
3. The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) with a pass in a trade and four academic subjects that must include English language and mathematics.
4. Candidates must have at least a year of work experience following their National Diploma Industrial Training.
Nonetheless, if an applicant has at least two (2) years of post-industrial training experience, they can still be considered for admission if they received a passing mark at the ND/NID.
The Office of the Registrar must receive a copy of each applicant’s National Diploma Transcript for the Polytechnic HND Programs who did not receive their ND from the Federal Polytechnic Offa.
