Federal Polytechnic, Ayede Cut Off Mark & How to Calculate their Aggregate Score

About the Polytechnic

The Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State, Nigeria is a newly established technological institution established to engage in innovative education, research and training, aiming at the overall transformation and sustainable development of the nation. The institution was established as a tertiary educational institution for the provisions of courses of instruction, training and research in areas of science, technology, management and other fields of applied learning relevant to the human resource needs of the nation. The Objectives of the Institution: To provide full-time and/or part-time courses of instruction and training in Technology, Applied Science, Commerce and Management; as well as such other fields of applied learning relevant to the technological needs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the areas of innovative education, industrial and agricultural production and distribution, as well as research development and techniques, as may be determined by the Academic Board and the Council from time to time. To arrange Conferences, Seminars and Study Groups relating to the various fields of learning. To perform such other functions as may, in the opinion of the Council, serve to promote the objectives of the Polytechnic.

What is Post UTME Score?

After every UTME exercise, the exam body sets a particular mark {e.g., 120}. This mark is a score a candidate must have or cross to qualify him or her to sit for the chosen school’s POST UTME exercise.

This said mark is announced to all schools to enable them to decide the number of candidates they will admit. After the school’s decision, they announce a particular mark that must not be lower than the mark the UTME body fixed.

Any candidate who crosses the mark set by the UTME body and does not reach the chosen school’s mark is NEVER eligible to sit for the school’s  POST UTME.

This mark or score set by the school admission board is known as SCHOOL’S CUT-OFF MARK.

What is Aggregate Score ?

Aggregate scores are calculated by finding the sum of all those subjects whose marks have to be considered, and then dividing the sum by total marks. The final result is then multiplied with 100, which gives the aggregate percentage.

The general cut off mark for  is Federal Polytechnic, Ayede is 120. This simply implies that any candidate who wishes to study at Fed poly Ayede must score 120 and above to be able to qualify for admission into their selected course.

Procedure for Application

1. Candidates interested in the Full-Time Programmes, who must have written the 2023/2024 UTME and scored 120 and above, can now apply for a Change of Institution on JAMB Portal and choose Federal Polytechnic, Ayede as their First Choice.

2. Applicants may thereafter proceed to admission https://admission.federalpolyayede.edu.ng/ to purchase and complete Post-UTME form for Two Thousand naira (N2,000.00K) only (excluding remita and administrative charges).

3. Applicants for both Full-Time and Daily Part-Time ND Programmes must possess five (5) “O” Level Credit passes in relevant subjects at SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB etc

4. To apply for Daily Part-Time Programme, applicants must first log in to caps.jamb.gov.ng and complete the relevant procedure. Thereafter, proceed to the Polytechnic Website: admission federalpolyayede.edu.ng to purchase and complete the Application Form for Ten Thousand naira (N10,000.00K) only (excluding remita and administrative charges).

How to Calculate Federal Polytechnic, Ayede Aggregate Score

To correctly calculate your aggregate, know that the JAMB Examination is made up of 400 marks, whereas the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede Post UTME is made of 100 marks.

Divide your JAMB score by 8,

Divide your Post UTME score by  2,

Add up the result.

This is how to calculate yours.

If Tina scored 240 in her JAMB and 80 in her Post UTME, then her Aggregate score can be gotten by following these steps.

240/8= 30

80/2= 40

40+ 30= 70

Tina’s aggregate score is 70.
