The University of Mkar is a private school in the north central Nigerian state of Benue. As a private Christian university, the university opened in 2005 and was accepted by the National Universities Commission. It was set up by the Universal Reformed Church of Christ (URCC).

University of Mkar Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the University of Mkar, you must meet the following requirements:
Requirements through UTME
- People who want to run must be at least 16 years old.
- Those who want to apply must have at least six “Cs” in their O-level results. This has to include English Language, Math, and three other topics that are related to their course. For example, if you want to study law, you need at least a “C” in English Language, Math, Government/History, Economics, and English Literature.
- Applicants must get at least 140 on the JAMB UTME test.
- No matter what course of study they want to take, candidates must take the UMM post-UTME screening test and do very well on it.
- You can only get into the University of Mkar (UMM) with scores from ONE sitting.
- Nominees must pick the right mix of subjects for their projects.
- Lastly, people who want to go to university must get at least the minimum score required for their classes.
Requirements through Direct Entry
- To apply, candidates must have at least five (5) credits in their O-levels, with English Language and Mathematics being required.
- Candidates must also be at least sixteen years old and obtain a JAMB Directly entry form.
- Candidates must have any of the following certificates: OND, ND, NCE, IJMB, Cambridge A level, BSc, HND, ICAN, or a previous qualification recognized by JAMB.
