Eligibility

To be eligible for the NNPC/Chevron JV National University Scholarship, interested candidates must meet the following criteria:

Be a Nigerian citizen
Be enrolled or admitted in any Nigerian university for the 2023/2024 academic year.
Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or its equivalent for undergraduates.
Have a good academic record and show strong promise for the future. Your personal statement and references should demonstrate your motivation, skills, and potential for high achievement.

To apply, you must:

Meet the eligibility criteria. You must be a Nigerian national in your 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate study at an accredited Nigerian university, with a minimum CGPA of 3.5. Preference will be given to students in engineering, geosciences, and related fields of study.
Complete the online application form. The application form will be available on the NNPC/Chevron JV National University Scholarship website during the application window. You must provide personal information, details on your academic performance, extracurricular activities, career goals, and the name of one academic reference.
Submit all required documents. This includes an official university transcript, a letter of recommendation from an academic referee, and a 500-word personal statement on your career and study objectives. Documents must be uploaded to the online application system.
