The NDLEA recruitment 2023 application form online is now available at www.ndlea.gov.ng. Visit this page for instructions on how to apply for the current National Drug Law Enforcement Agency job openings and other pertinent information.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has announced the start of the recruitment process for 2023; the online application will be available from March 12 through April 8 of that year.

NDLEA Recruitment Criteria for 2023


You must adhere to the following requirements in order to have a chance of being hired by the NDLEA:

  • Born in Nigeria
  • Be free of all criminal charges besides traffic infractions.
  • Hold a WASSCE, NECO, or GCE certificate with a minimum of 5 Credits earned in no more than 2 Sittings.
  • Possess a comparable HND, B.Sc., NCE, or OND certificate from an approved higher education institution.
  • Own a legitimate form of identification (NIN)
  • Due to the nature of the work, you should be both physically and mentally fit. A medical fitness certification from a federal government hospital will be needed.
  • Be in the age range of 18 to 35.

1.  Superintendent Cadre  (General Duties or Specialists)

There are three levels:

  • Deputy Superintendent of Narcotics
  • Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics
  •  Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics II (CONPASS 08–09). (CONPASS 10).

Required credentials include a first degree or HND, an LL.B., a BL, a B.Eng (with COREN), a B.Pharm, an MBBS, or a DVM.
Exemption or NYSC Discharge Certificates are also necessary.

2. Drug Enforcement Cadre

There are three ranks in the Narcotic Agent Cadre: Chief, Senior, and Narcotic Agent.
Candidates must possess the necessary credentials, such as 5 credits in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB and an NCE, ND, or equivalent.
The Narcotic Agent Cadre requires applicants to be at least 18 years old.
Before being assigned to a position, qualified candidates go through a rigorous training process.
Enforcement of drug legislation and the fight against drug trafficking are the responsibilities of members of the Narcotic Agent Cadre.

3. Assistant Cadre for Narcotics

The age limit for applicants to the Narcotic Assistant Cadre is 25.
The agency’s physical and medical qualifications must be met by applicants.
After completing a 6-month training program, successful applicants will be sent to various locations.
The duties of Narcotic Assistant I and II include supporting senior officers.
They participate in conducting out operations like raiding drug dens, guarding suspects, and other activities.
The Narcotic Assistant Cadre is essential in the struggle against drug addiction and trafficking.
To perform their tasks, they must be physically fit, disciplined, and of strong moral character.
To help the Narcotic Assistant Cadre strengthen their abilities, the agency offers training and development opportunities.
The Narcotic Assistant Cadre must be able to cooperate with others and adhere to superiors’ orders.


Application Processes for NDLEA


Simply follow the instructions provided below if you want to apply for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) recruitment exercise.

Before registering, click the recruitment link www.ndlea.gov.ng. and follow the instructions.

  • Choose a category and complete the necessary fields on the redirected page.
  • Submit your passport photo and your academic transcripts.
  • Submit your birth certificate and age declaration together with your certificate of state of origin.
  • Submit your National ID card and your certificate of discharge or exemption from NYSC.
  • Use your own email and phone number when applying.
  • Candidates must be in good health and drug-free.
  • Candidates must be morally upright and have no criminal history.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old and of Nigerian descent by birth.
  • Candidates must be at least 1.65 meters tall for men and 1.60 meters for women.
  • Cross-check all of your data.

NOTE: Applicants must print their online slip after completing it and download the referee forms, which must be filled out by two people of repute in the community.

You will be notified via email that your application has been received and that you have been booked for the following stage of the hiring process once you have successfully completed and submitted it.

You will then be in for an outstanding career with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, depending on how well you perform (NDLEA).

Remember the following:

  •  After submitting their application, applicants must print their online-generated slip.
  • Selected candidates will have to complete additional vetting paperwork. Random drug tests will be administered to all hired candidates for the duration of their employment with the Agency.
  •  Only candidates who have been shortlisted will be invited to a second round of testing and an interview.
  •  Submitting multiple applications would disqualify you.
  •  Before going in for the screening/interview, applicants must print off their online-generated photo slip after completing it and download the referee forms, which must be filled out by two (2) people of good standing in the community.

Note

  • The online-generated slip, which must be printed out, acts as proof that the application was completed.
  • Before the screening/interview, referee forms must be downloaded and filled out by two trustworthy people.
  • The people filling out the referee forms must fit the requirements listed on the form.
  • After the interview, successful candidates will have to complete more vetting paperwork.
  • The accuracy and Currentness of all the information submitted in the application are the responsibility of the applicants.
  • The application must include the referees’ names and contact information.
  • Throughout the screening process, the referees must consent to being contacted by the NDLEA.
  • The purpose of the vetting forms is to validate the data that the applicant has submitted.
  • Falsification of data or paperwork may result in exclusion from the hiring process.
  • Applicants are urged to safely store their login information and application number for future use.
