About the Polytechnic  (Bauchi Poly)

A polytechnic located in Bauchi State, in the northeast of Nigeria, is called Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi. It is located in Bauchi’s Gwallameji village.

By Federal Republic of Nigeria act number 33 (Act.33), the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi (FPTB) was founded in July 1979. It is located on 750 hectares of land in the Gwallameji village on the Bauchi-Dass route in the city of Bauchi. The Governing Council is the institution’s top decision-making body according to organizational structure. Its duties include formulating the overall policy direction, hiring employees (apart from the Rector), and approving financial estimates.

According to decree 33 of 1979, the FPTB Management role is performed by a Management Committee led by the Rector on behalf of the Governing Council. The Rector chairs the Management Committee, which also includes the Deputy Rector, Registrar, Library, Bursar, Directors, and Deans of Schools.

In 2020, permission was granted for the institution, which offers programs leading to the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma, to collaborate with Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi to offer nine-degree programs.

The Federal Polytechnic in Bauchi charges lower tuition than other polytechnics in Nigeria.

In order to ensure that exams may be completed without any problems, students at FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC BAUCHI are expected to pay their school fees as soon as possible. With the affordable tuition at FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC BAUCHI, this is very understandable. The fact that Bauchi state natives pay the lowest fees is a significant advantage.

Federal Polytechnic Bauchi in Bauchi State has received official authorization from and/or recognition from Nigeria’s National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
