What is Post UTME Score?
After every UTME exercise, the exam body sets a particular mark {e.g., 120}. This mark is a score a candidate must have or cross to qualify him or her to sit for the chosen school’s POST UTME exercise.
This said mark is announced to all schools to enable them to decide the number of candidates they will admit. After the school’s decision, they announce a particular mark that must not be lower than the mark the UTME body fixed.
Any candidate who crosses the mark set by the UTME body and does not reach the chosen school’s mark is NEVER eligible to sit for the school’s POST UTME.
This mark or score set by the school admission board is known as SCHOOL’S CUT-OFF MARK.

Aggregate scores are calculated by finding the sum of all those subjects whose marks have to be considered, and then dividing the sum by total marks. The final result is then multiplied with 100, which gives the aggregate percentage.

Kebbi State University of Science and Technology (KSUSTA) sets a cut-off mark of 140 for 2023/2024 admission. Applicants choosing KSUSTA as their first choice and scoring at least 140 are eligible for various degree courses, including sciences, engineering, and medicine.
How to Calculate KSUSTA Aggregate Score
To correctly calculate your aggregate, know that the JAMB Examination is made up of 400 marks, whereas the Kaduna State University (KSUSTA) Post UTME is made of 100 marks.
- Divide your JAMB score by 8,
- Divide your Post UTME score by 2,
- Add up the result.

KSUST Departmental Cut-off Mark
- All Engineering courses – 200 and above in jamb and 60% in post-UTME
- All Basic medical sciences courses 180 and above in jamb and 50% and above in post-UTME
- Professional and highly competitive courses – Law, medicine and surgeon, pharmacy 240 and above in jamb and 85% and above in post-UTME
- All Agricultural and educational courses is 120 – 180 in some institution and 20% and above in post-UTME
- All courses in other faculties like Art, commercial, physical, and natural sciences are 180 and above in JAMB and 40% in post-UTME.
KSUSTA Admission Requirements
The admission process at Kebbi State University is highly competitive, ensuring that only the most qualified candidates are accepted into the institution. Prospective students are required to meet certain criteria to be considered for admission.
KSUSTA Admission Requirements by UTME
For admission to KSUSTA in 2023 UTME applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must have reached the age of 16.
- Applicants must have at least 6 (six) “Cs (credits)” in their O’level result(s). This must include English, Math and three other subjects related to their curriculum. For example, a candidate who wants to study law must have a “C” in English, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics and Literature in English.
- Applicants must score at least 160 points in the JAMB UTME exam
- Candidates must take the KSUSTA post UTME screening exam and do very well in the exam (depending on the program of study)
- No more than one sitting result is accepted for admission to KSUSTA
- Candidates must choose the appropriate combination of subjects for their subject. Finally, applicants must meet the specified cut-off points for their courses in order to gain admission to the university.
