Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUSOK) is one of the first generation federal universities in Nigeria founded in 1975. Located in Sokoto State, in the Northwestern region of the country, UDUSOK has a student population of over 30,000 across 12 faculties and over 60 academic departments.

UDUSOK Admission Requirements
Undergraduate requirements:
To be admitted as an undergraduate student at Usman danfodio University, you must meet the following requirements:
- Have a minimum of 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent. The subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, and any other 3 subjects as determined by your proposed course of study.
- Apply through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). You will need to take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain the minimum cut-off mark for your chosen course. The cut-off marks vary each year based on several factors.
- Meet the minimum University cut-off mark. The cut-off mark is usually higher than the JAMB cut-off and determined based on your UTME score and your chosen course of study.
- Choose Usman danfodio University as your first choice institution when registering for the UTME. This increases your chances of gaining admission into the University.
- Apply for admission into the University through its online application portal immediately after the release of UTME results. You will be required to upload your credentials and other relevant documents for verification and assessment.
If successful, you will receive an admission letter from the University. You must then proceed to accept the offer of admission on the portal and pay the required acceptance and school fees to secure your admission.
Post graduate requirements:
To be admitted into a postgraduate program at Usman danfodio University, you must meet the following requirements:
You must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 5.0 scale to be considered for admission into a master’s program. For a PhD program, you must have a master’s degree in a related field of study with a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale.

UDUSOK School Fees
Acceptance fee (new students only): ₦20,000 (non-refundable)
The school fees for UDUSOK range from ₦41,700.00 to ₦ 65,700.00 for new students and ₦36,400.00 to ₦65,400.00 for returning students respectively.
UDUSOK Hostel Accommodation Fees
The university has several hostels on campus that provide basic accommodation for students. Hostel fees range from ₦10,000 to ₦20,000 per semester depending on the hostel.
