Federal University Of Technology Babura (FUTB) , Jigawa state , being one of the four Universities to be established as legally recognized and accepted in the second quarter of 2021 by the National Universities Commission (NUC), Nigeria, to improve quality education in Nigeria universities.The university is owned by the Federal Government Of Nigeria and it’s campus is located in Babura which is the headquarters and also the Local Government of Area of Jigawa state.

FUTB Admission Requirements

Undergraduate requirements:

Students who are interested in studying in the above named University are expected to possess the following qualifications that are listed below:

Candidate is required to have finished primary school and is in accession of his/her certificate.
Candidate is required to have finished secondary School and have acquired his /her SSCE certificate.
Candidate is expected to get a minimum of 5 credit passes (Including mathematics and English which is compulsory) from either WAEC or NECO.
Candidates who want to study in Federal University Of Technology Babura, are required to get a JAMB ( Joint Admission And Matriculation Board) form and sit for the exams organized by the board.
Candidate is required to score above the school cut- off mark of the desired institution they intend to apply for their course.
A direct entry applicants is expected to have achieved an NCE certificate with at least a credit pass in Physics, mathematics and computer to qualify for the admission.
A direct entry applicant is expected to have two ‘A’ level subjects including physics, chemistry and mathematics with the minimum of a credit passes.
A direct entry applicant is expected to have an upper credit pass in national diploma in a well recognized polytechnic.

Post graduates requirements:
The following are requirements for post graduates:

A post graduate applicant is expected to be a Holder of Higher National Diploma ( HND) with the minimum of a credit pass to qualify.
A post graduate applicant is expected to be a graduate from one of the well recognised federal University in relevant areas.
A post graduate applicant is expected to have not less than 3.5 GPA and above from a well recognized University.
A post graduate applicant with the holder of HND ,PGD or PGDE certificate should satisfy the basic certificate or ordinary GCE level requirements with at least 5 credit in relevant subjects for admission qualifications

FUTB Cut -Off Mark

For candidate to be eligible in gaining admission into the federal university of technology Babura , Jigawa state he/she must have attained the total score of 140 marks which is the general approved cut off mark and above in the recently written examination conducted by JAMB, although the cut off mark varies according to the courses offered.

FUTB School Fees

The federal university of technology Babura’s students school fees for freshers is N194,000( One hundred and ninty- four thousand naira). This should be made after the payment of acceptance fees which is N30,000(thirty thousand naira). Students are advised to pay school fees on time to avoid distraction during school session.

Be aware that the payment of school fees is mandatory for every student that desire to enroll in the school.

Note: Acceptance fees should be paid first, after gaining admission,it serves as a proof of the provisional admission it is a one time process carried out by freshers alone and on no account is the money refundable.
