The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, or FPI, is a polytechnic with its headquarters in Ogun State in southwest Nigeria.

A Master plan was created for the institution at the outset, and it has aided in its growth, particularly in the first few years after it was founded. The master plan has since been reviewed to reflect the present level of funding and vital needs in light of the country’s economic downturn. As a result, the updated plan is currently used to steer the institution’s development.

The general standards for sanitation and upkeep are good. The work and services department at the polytechnic is still able to handle the proper and routine maintenance of buildings, roads, vehicles, and electrical installations and appliances with the help of a full complement of certified technical staff and a sanitary inspection officer. Septic tanks and soak-away pits can be moved with the help of suitable infrastructure, and the system in place for disposing of solid waste is adequate.

The Polytechnic has lockable gates at all entries, professional security officers, and regulated entry. In case of a fire, the institution’s fire service is on hand at key locations across the campus with fire extinguishers and sand buckets. The polytechnic does, in fact, enjoy a respectable level of safety and security. The Polytechnic keeps an insurance coverage with NICON, IGI, and other companies as a backup to protect its assets.
