Scholarship Details

The Peking University Yeching Academy Scholarship program offers two categories of scholarships:

  • Type A: Tuition waiver (ranging from 25-100% of tuition fees)
  • Type B: Living allowance (CNY 3,000/month) plus tuition waiver (50-100% of tuition fees)

Scholarship recipients will have their tuition covered in full or in part for the duration of their degree program. Type B scholarship awardees will also receive a monthly living stipend to assist with living expenses in Beijing.

The scholarship is awarded for one academic year and may be extended for another year based on the student’s academic performance. Renewal of the scholarship each year is not guaranteed. Students must reapply and will be re-evaluated for scholarship consideration.

  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0

Check Eligibility

  • Have attained a bachelor’s degree or be in the final year of a bachelor’s program

  3. Academic Transcripts: Provide official transcripts from all post-secondary schools you have attended. Unofficial or self-reported scores will not be accepted.
  4. Two Letters of Recommendation: Ask two professors or supervisors who know you well to write letters of recommendation on your behalf. The letters should be on official letterhead and specifically mention your abilities, accomplishments, and potential for success in the program.
  5. Proof of Language Proficiency: Submit scores from an internationally recognized Chinese or English language proficiency exam like the HSK, TOEFL or IELTS. Minimum required scores are HSK Level 4, TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.5.
  6. Copy of Passport: Provide a clear photocopy of the identification page of your valid passport.
  7. Application Fee: Pay a nonrefundable application fee of RMB 800. The fee can be paid via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or WeChat/Alipay.
