About The School
Bamidele Olumilua University of Science and Technology Ikere (BOUESTI) has a long and rich history. BOUESTI began as the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti. It was later upgraded to a university of education and renamed the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti.
In just a few short years, BOUESTI has experienced immense growth and development. The university started with only the Faculty of Education and now has six faculties: Education, Science, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Law, and Agriculture. BOUESTI also has a School of Postgraduate Studies and operates several institutes and centers for learning and research.
BOUESTI’s main campus is located in the heart of Ikere-Ekiti. The university has an active campus life with opportunities for students to participate in clubs, sports, and cultural activities. BOUESTI Admission Requirements
To be admitted into Bamidele Olumilua University of Science and Technology Ikere, you must meet the following requirements:
Academic Requirements
Applicants must have at least 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Candidates with equivalent qualifications from other examination bodies recognized by the Senate of the University are also eligible to apply.
Age Requirement
Candidates must not be less than 16 years or more than 22 years of age by October 1st of the admission year.
UTME Requirement
All candidates are required to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for the year of admission. Only candidates who chose Bamidele Olumilua University of Science and Technology Ikere as their first or second choice, scored 180 points and above in UTME and have the prescribed ‘O’ Level subjects at credit level are eligible for admission into the University.
