Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic is an innovative university that focuses on science, technology, and comprehensive research. It was established in 1983 and is based on a tradition of teaching science and technology that dates back to the KCAST in Zaria.

Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic Admission Requirements
Knowing the admission requirements for Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic (HUKP) before applying is the first step if you want to attend during the academic year 2023/2024.
The minimum credit requirement for applicants is five, including English language and math.
Here are the admission requirements for Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic (HUKP) for 2023/2024.
UTME Admission Requirements For Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
- Candidates must receive a minimum of 6 (six) “Cs (Credits)” in their O’level exam.
- Candidates must receive a minimum score of 180 on the JAMB UTME.
HND Admission Requirements For Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic
- Candidates must fulfill all prerequisites in order to be admitted to the appropriate National Diploma (ND) programs.
- Passing the National Diploma (ND) Examination with a minimum of Lower Credit is required for the programs.
- Candidate must have at least one year of relevant job experience.
NB: Candidates applying for the Higher National Diploma should inform their previous institutions to send the Academic Secretary a copy of their academic transcript.
Application Process for Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic HND Form
All HND applicants must pay the one-time screening fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00), following which they will be asked to complete a profile page, print it off, and submit it to the academic office. They must also pay N1,500 just for verification, which is a total of 1,500 Naira.
Candidates who meet the requirements must pay using one of the methods offered on the student portal at hukpoly.edu.ng. Cash payments are not accepted at the Polytechnic.
