The National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) in Abuja has approved Kogi State College of Education (Technical) Kabba to offer full Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programs starting in the 2012–2013 academic year.The Kogi State College of Education (Technical) Kabba was founded in April 2010 as a result of a bill that was approved by the state House of Assembly and signed into law by the Kogi State Executive Governor at the time, His Excellency, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Idris.Eight (8) Colleges of Education (Technical) exist in Nigeria out of around sixty-four (64) Colleges of Education; two of these are owned by state governments, notably Kogi State.The federal government owns the remaining six, including Kabba College of Education (Technical).
