Academic Status

You must be either:

  • A senior secondary school student who will receive their WAEC, NECO or equivalent secondary school leaving certificate in 2023 and will enroll in a Nigerian university in 2023.
  • A university student who will continue their undergraduate degree at an accredited Nigerian university in 2023. Areas of study include but are not limited to: engineering, geosciences, petroleum engineering and related disciplines.

Academic Merit

You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Strong candidates will demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and potential for success in their field of study.

Financial Need

A condition of accepting the award is agreeing to an internship at WAPCo during one summer of your undergraduate studies.
