Federal Polytechnic, Bali Cut Off Mark & How to Calculate Their Aggregate Score

 About The University 


The Federal Executive Council’s approval on March 14, 2007, on Wednesday, led to the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic Bali. In order to assure a quick launch after approval, the Federal Ministry of Education established a Ministerial Task Group under the leadership of Dr. Nuru Yakubu, the recently retired executive secretary of the National Board for Technical Education.

Federal Polytechnic Bali is a federally sponsored and administered polytechnic that is situated in Taraba state, Northern Nigeria. The polytechnic, which was founded in 2007, educates students in entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology. Staff members at the institution are dedicated and motivated, and they give their students a quality education. After graduation, these students will contribute skilled labor to Nigeria’s technological advancement.

The polytechnic’s student body is broad and diversified; it has no association with any cultural or religious group.

A 500 hectare parcel of land along the Bali-Jalingo Road for the location of the Permanent Site was one of the facilities and buildings that the Taraba State Government and the Bali Local Government Authority gave for the start-up of the Polytechnic.


The beginning of Academic activities


With the admission of around 1605 students at the certificate level in the following programs, the Polytechnic began academic activities: 

  • Diploma in Audit and Accounting Technology
  • Civil Engineering Technology Certificate 
  • Building Engineering Technology Certificate 
  •  Agriculture Technology Certificate 
  • Office Technology and Management Certificate 
  • Computer Technology Certificate 
  •  Remedial Science and Technology Program

The National Board for Technical Education approved the mounting of National Diploma Programs in Accountancy and Statistics following a thorough resource inspection visit conducted between October 6 and October 9, 2010, and during a subsequent accreditation visit between June 29 and July 2, 2011, approval was given to mount additional National Diploma Programs in Science Laboratory Technology, Office Technology and Management, and Computer Science.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) sent the polytechnic its first batch of National Diploma students, who began classes on January 3, 2011, based on the approval given for the first two programs. 

In a similar vein, the total student population increased from the initial 1608 for all programs at inception to 6218 with a total out-turn of 3467 students from 2010 to date. Of these 3467 graduates, 3162 received certificates and 305 received national diplomas.

How to Calculate Federal University, Bali Aggregate Score

To correctly calculate your aggregate, know that the JAMB Examination is made up of 400 marks, whereas the Federal University Bali  Post UTME is made of 100 marks.

Divide your JAMB score by 8,

Divide your Post UTME score by  2,

Add up the result.

This is how to calculate yours.

If Tina scored 240 in her JAMB and 80 in her Post UTME, then her Aggregate score can be gotten by following these steps.

240/8= 30

80/2= 40

40+ 30= 70

Tina’s aggregate score is 70.

The Federal Polytechnic Bali JAMB cut-off mark for the 2023/2024 academic session is 140. This information is being provided by the school administration to the general public, in particular incoming students. 

This indicates that every 2023 JAMB applicant with a score of 140 or more is qualified to purchase a Federal Poly Bali Post UTME form.

Fee for new Students at the Federal Polytechnic Bali in 2023/2024 

As a first-year student or fresher, you must pay the Federal Polytechnic Bali acceptance fee to any university or polytechnic in order to signify that you have accepted the programme and generally the admission that has been granted to you by the school.

The tuition at Federal Polytechnic Bali is N31,000 for ND and HND students.
